Power Music Radio would love to present to you, Ronnie Sanders, host of the long-running radio show, Ronnie’s Spirit. Ronnie has over 25 years of broadcasting experience in the Connecticut community radio scene and has made her mark not only as show host but as Mistress of Ceremonies for events such as Gospel Fest, awards shows and charity events.

 

You would never know it by the crisp articulation and smooth confidence she exudes in every show but when Ronnie was 18 she auditioned for the CT School of Broadcasting. She was accepted in the program however, she was told she needed to lose (what they called) a “Connecticut A”. Being an extremely shy introvert, (what is a Connecticut A?), Ronnie didn’t ask questions, she walked away and didn’t go back. 20 years later determined to follow her dream she went back to the school, earned her certificate and now has trained many deejays on becoming voice personalities and board operators who create and design fantastic shows the community loves.

Over the years, she’s shared her love of bringing music and community together through WYBC radio in New Haven and WRTC’s Thought Power Programming in Hartford where she served as Genre Coordinator. Through interviews with major, independent and local artists, she has provided a much needed platform in the R&B and gospel music scene in CT. And if you like Southern Soul, you can catch the Juke Joint experience every week on her show where she takes you through an exploration of classic and new Southern Soul music. She now has an extensive music library to share with her listeners; to think it all started with about six cds all those years ago!

Ronnie is the visionary behind Power Muzic Radio. As the founder and CEO, Ronnie has expanded her talents and expertise by creating a platform dedicated the advancement of independent recording artists. Ronnie has also made Increasing community awareness and support for small black owned businesses and celebrating the contributions Black artists and musicians have made to a priority of Power Muzic Radio. Most importantly, providing listeners with clean music...free from vulgarity.... has made Ronnie a leader in the radio industry.
